CHICAGO -- The top of the list includes Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa. Capitals Jerseys For Sale . Patrick Sharp is coming off another great playoff series, and Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland have come up with big post-season goals in the past. The Chicago Blackhawks have waves of talented lines, making them a difficult matchup for any team. Months after Nicklas Lidstrom retired, they pose quite the challenge for the Detroit Red Wings. When one of the NHLs biggest rivalries resumes in the playoffs on Wednesday night, there will be a lot of talk about the play of goalies Corey Crawford of Chicago and Jimmy Howard of Detroit. The Blackhawks are going to have to find a way to shut down the Detroit trio of Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen. But Chicagos deep group of forwards against Detroits refurbished defence could go a long way to deciding the 16th post-season series between the proud Original Six franchises. "Theres going to be a test there for them," Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "We just try to keep making progress. Weve had good growth on our team all year long and it has to continue to happen." Detroit lost decades of experience when Lidstrom announced his retirement a year ago. The seven-time Norris Trophy winner helped the Red Wings to four Stanley Cups and is among the best defencemen to ever play the game. Lidstroms absence left a giant hole in front of Howard, but Detroit then decided to trade Brad Stuart to San Jose in June because he made it clear that he wanted to be closer to his family. Down Lidstrom and Stuart, the Red Wings had to rely on a mix of young and unproven defencemen to provide key minutes. Due in part to the evolving lines in the back, Detroits annual appearance in the playoffs was in jeopardy until it won the last four games of the regular season to secure the seventh spot in the West and extend the longest active post-season streak in major professional sports to 22 straight seasons. "They got better as the season went on, and they got better as the playoffs went on," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "They always play a really responsible team game and I think their whole team game helps their defence as well." While the Red Wings squeaked past the Ducks in the first round of the post-season, Chicago rolled over Minnesota in five games. Eight players had at least one goal and 15 recorded at least one point as the Blackhawks outscored the Wild 17-7, including an 8-1 margin over the final two nights. It was a continuation of the regular season for Chicago, which finished second to Pittsburgh with 149 goals while rolling to the Presidents Trophy and home-ice advantage for as long as its around in the NHL playoffs. "I think we know its going to be a tough series," Zetterberg said. "They played well all regular season. They took care of Minnesota pretty quick and theyve been resting for a few days. Its going to be a challenge for us, for sure, but the same way, if we play the way we want and do all the little things right, we have a chance." The series opener against Detroit will be the first game for Chicago since it closed out Minnesota with a 5-1 victory on Thursday. The Blackhawks used all that time to rest, but it also allowed Quenneville to take a look at a couple different line combinations -- providing even more material for Detroit to consider. Bolland is healthy again after he missed the first-round series with a lower-body injury, and he is expected to centre Chicagos third line. Quenneville also said Michal Handzus is fine after he missed two days of practice. Viktor Stalberg, one of the fastest skaters on the team, has been working outside of the top four lines in practice, so his role against Detroit is up in the air. "I really dont have anything to say about it," Stalberg said. "Ask Q." Asked about what Stalberg can do to get back in the lineup, Quenneville responded: "Stay ready, stay ready. Nobody said hes out of the lineup, but keep yourself, make decisions tough on us." Stalberg had nine goals and 14 assists in 47 games this season, then had a big assist and a plus-2 rating while playing all five games in the first round against Minnesota. Its quite a luxury for Quenneville to consider leaving him off the top four lines, but such is life for the Blackhawks this season. Its also quite the problem for Detroit. "It should be a fun series," said Kane, who led the team with 55 points this season. "Were really looking forward to the challenge." Alex Chiasson Jersey .com) - The red-hot Los Angeles Kings will try to extend their winning streak to a season-high seven games when they visit the Edmonton Oilers for Sundays clash at Rexall Place. Mike Gartner Jersey . It was the second consecutive win for the Pacers (2-5), who lost their first five preseason games. Jeff Teague led the Hawks (1-5) with 17 points and eight assists and Al Horford had 12 points and seven rebounds. Mike Scott scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half. . -- Matt Ryan needed one of the best games of his career to lead the Falcons and their depleted offence out of their three-game losing streak last week. WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. -- Say this about Dale Earnhardt Jr. -- he follows doctors orders. After missing three straight Sprint Cup races because of lingering effects of a concussion, NASCARs most popular driver did something Friday thats part of his therapy -- he made his first public appearance to speak about his recovery.I missed my team, my teammates, Earnhardt said. I just wanted to come see everybody. I get to hang out with my guys a little bit. This has been so weird not to be at the track. Its frustrating, but its the process. Were just taking it one evaluation at a time.I just want to get better. Nothing else is a priority. Our intentions are to get cleared and get back to racing. Im not ready to quit.Doctors told Earnhardt his latest injury occurred June 12 at Michigan International Speedway. He was clipped in the rear by Chris Bueschers No. 34 while racing three wide with AJ Allmendinger and hit the wall at an angle that softened the impact. He drove three more races before symptoms became too severe. The doctors feel they can make my brain stronger to be able to cope with these common events, he said. The event that I had at Michigan I shouldnt have had a concussion from. I should be able to get through events like that without having any issues.Earnhardt has been keeping fans updated on his condition via weekly podcasts. Besides reconnecting with his team and his competitors in the garage, his appearance at the road course in the Finger Lakes of upstate New York served a purpose. My doctor wants to put me in situations that drive the symptoms, Earnhardt said. My doctor calls that exposure, and this is probably the worst situation as far as making my systems go haywire. Nicklas Backstrom Jersey. Thats what he wants. Thats just part of the process. The one thing that I worry most about is ... people making assumptions of where Im at, what Im doing, and what Im up to. I dont want people making assumptions. To give me peace of mind and to bring down any type of stress and anxiety through the process is to open up and be honest about whats going on and how were doing.Earnhardt wont drive at Watkins Glen on Sunday and also will miss the race at Bristol on Aug. 20. Four-time series champion Jeff Gordon, who came out of retirement to fill in for Earnhardt the last two races, will remain behind the wheel in the No. 88 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports. There remains no timetable for Earnhardts return. That decision will be left to his doctors. He underwent further evaluation Monday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Sports Medicine Concussion Program and said afterward that he continues to experience issues with balance and an ability to focus on an object while he moves his head.Earnhardt expressed frustration at how long hes been out.I never anticipated being out this long, he said. I didnt have this massive accident. The symptoms crept in slowly. I didnt think this was that serious. Its a challenge. I really believe and trust what theyre telling me. Theyre telling me without question were going to get back to normal.---Follow Kekis on Twitter: Wholesale Jerseys 2020 Stitched Jerseys Youth NFL Jerseys Wholesale Youth NFL Jerseys Cheap Cheap NFL T-shirts Wholesale NFL Camo Jerseys Cheap NFL T-shirts ' ' '
