FLORHAM PARK, N. Nike Roshe One Slip .J. -- Steve McLendon sounded part-motivational speaker, part-preacher as he described the vibe around the struggling New York Jets.Sure, theyre 1-4 and frustrated fans flocked to social media to express their displeasure. But desperate times arent exactly striking fear and pessimism into Todd Bowles bunch. Its not to point the finger at anyone, said McLendon, a nose tackle in his eighth NFL season. Were all in this together. We have to keep remembering that we are a team. We are the New York Jets. And if we believe in ourselves, we believe in this team and we believe in one another, we CAN turn this thing around.Positivity in the face of despair was the overwhelming theme Monday, 24 hours after the Jets lost 31-13 at Pittsburgh with another uninspired performance. The criticism from fans and media is widespread, with just about everyone taking the blame from outside the facility. The list has gotten downright lengthy: Bowles questionable coaching decisions; Ryan Fitzpatricks uneven play at quarterback; the leaky secondary giving up big plays every week; the disappearing pass rush; Chan Gaileys offense not being able to get into the end zone consistently; the running game being bottled up the past few weeks.Still, Bowles said hes not entertaining thoughts of making significant chances.Teams that go through situations like this, and we can see this in the past, if they get out on the other side, theyre the strongest teams and they are the teams that wreak havoc in the end because they are battle tested, wide receiver Brandon Marshall said.Thats the positive about where were at right now, is that the first part of the season has been really tough. Its challenging our relationships, its challenging our schemes, its challenging the guys that we have in each and every position. If we continue to stand firm and we start putting some wins together, its always a positive and it can always make your team that much stronger when you go through runs like this. After a 10-6 season in 2015 and just barely missing the playoffs, expectations were high this season. But five games in, the Jets have been a huge dud. In almost every area of the field.Guys are pressing, Marshall said. Its just not happening for us. All we can do is go back out there and keep working at it. We know what happened. We obviously understand that we need to be better in situational football. As of right now, that is closing out games.Bowles echoed that sentiment, adding: Weve just got to find a way to turn the corner. After the Jets lost 24-3 at Kansas City two weeks ago, Marshall said the teams response would tell everyone what type of squad New York is.Well, two more losses later, the Jets are among the bottom-tier teams in the league -- having shown very little for fans to be encouraged about. We expect to be killed out in the streets and killed in the media because our record shows that were not a really good team, Marshall said. But we have to stick together. We know who we have in that locker room. You guys know who we have in that locker room. I think this is surprising not only to our organization, but this is surprising to you guys and our fans. But with that comes criticism. And, plenty of second-guessing. Such as with the decision by Bowles to punt on fourth-and-2 with the Jets down two scores halfway through the fourth quarter at Pittsburgh. The coach defended his call after the game, saying he wanted to give his defense a chance to stop the Steelers and give the Jets good field position. He reiterated that Monday, saying his opinion is the same.Since a 37-31 win at Buffalo in Week 2 in which New York put up 17 points after halftime, the Jets have scored a total of seven points in the second half in the past three games.Weve got to take a hard look at that and figure it out because that has been a recurring problem, Fitzpatrick said.Thats something were going to put a lot of focus into and make sure that were playing better in the second half because it hasnt come together for us the last few weeks. In the meantime, the Jets are not concerned about the team possibly splintering as the losses pile.I dont worry about that at all, Fitzpatrick said, just because of the type of people we have in our locker room. The veterans insist theyre staying positive, and they believe others will share that optimism. Some do, but we dont need all, Marshall said. We just need the right guys to feel that way. You need your leaders to have this type of energy, this type of outlook. Thats all you need.Game notes C Nick Mangold (sore knee) and LB David Harris (sore hamstring) had MRIs which revealed no significant injuries. Their availability for next Monday night is uncertain, as is that of CB Darrelle Revis (hamstring), who sat out Sunday. ... CB Darryl Roberts was having an MRI taken on his injured shoulder. Bowles had no immediate update on the severity.---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP-NFL Nike Roshe Two Noir . -- James Young couldnt wait to apply those tweaks to his jump shot, and the first one he made against UT Arlington told him it could be a good night. A hearing is scheduled for a day earlier. Jordan Siev, a lawyer for Rodriguez, wrote in a joint letter to the judge from lawyers on both sides that MLB lawyers planned to ask that the lawsuit be dismissed. http://www.pumacreepersrihanna.fr/nike-roshe-one-flyknit-femme.html . Only three players drafted by NHL clubs were included on the Czech selection camp roster on Wednesday. Those players were Dallas Stars 2012 first-rounder Radek Faksa, Winnipeg Jets 2013 fourth-rounder Jan Kostalek and Phoenix Coyotes 2012 seventh-rounder Marek Langhamer. NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. -- The New York Yankees, Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers all remain in the mix for the two most coveted free-agent closers in baseball, Aroldis Chapman and Kenley Jansen, sources said. Now, Everyone is waiting on Chapman,?said an executive of one interested team on Wednesday. The assumption among the teams in on both closers is that Chapmans contract will set the market for Jansen, if only because the team signing Chapman would not be required to sacrifice its first draft pick. Only the club signing Jansen would lose a pick, because Jansen received and rejected a qualifying offer. At least one of the teams involved expected Chapman to choose a team within the next 24 hours. But with negotiations ongoing and Chapmans agent, Barry Praver, trying to push Chapmans package above $90 million for five years, the exact timetable remained unclear. The Yankees and Marlins have made five-year offers to both closers, sources said. And the Dodgers remain interested in both, although it was uncertain Wednesday night whether they had actually made formal offers to either.Chapman has long been regarded as the Yankees first choice. But sources who have spoken with the Marlins describe Miami as being significantly more interested than previously believed. As ESPN reported Tuesday night, Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria has given the OK to spend the dollars required to sign one of the free-agent closers, and he has said the ultimate decision on what the team ultimately does is up to his baseball people. One source who had spoken with the Miami front office characterized that group on Wednesday as now leaning toward Chapman, because he wouldnt cost the club a draft pick. However, other sources have described Marlins manager Don Mattingly as being strongly in favor of signing Jansen, his former closer in Los Angeles. And Mattingly admitted Wednesday he had called Jansen to let him know the Marlins had legitimate interest and to gauge Jansens interest in coming to Miami.I think the main thing I could say is that he wasnt opposed, Mattingly said. He didnt tell me, Im absolutely going back too the West Coast, or, I absolutely dont want to play in South Florida. Puma Rihanna Creepers Pas Cher. So basically, he was open to the idea.Dodgers general manager Farhan Zaidi said Wednesday his team was in a holding pattern. Were involved in a few markets where some dominoes need to start falling, and quite frankly, I think other people are in the same position where they are waiting to see what we do, and that might guide them in other directions, he said.Certainly on the reliever side, I think a lot of the teams that are shopping in that market probably want to fill [the closer role] before looking at some secondary pieces. Similarly, there are still a lot of quality relievers out there in free agency that are probably waiting to see if they can use some perceived setting of the market to their benefit.Zaidi added that, Theres no trade or free-agent deal that is available to us that we would say that we would do right now.Earlier in these meetings, Mark Melancon set a record for the largest contract for a closer by signing a four-year, $62 million deal with the San Francisco Giants. Now, Chapman and Jansen seem poised to sign deals that could be $20 million to $30 million above that figure. But the biggest remaining drama of these winter meetings isnt how large the contracts will be. It revolves around three teams bidding on two of the best closers in the game -- which means two of them will solve their closer questions for the next five years, while the third will be left with neither of the above.Options for the club that lands neither will be to pursue a less pricey free agent, such as Greg Holland, Brad Ziegler, Koji Uehara or Santiago Casilla, or to pursue a trade for someone such as David Robertson of the Chicago White Sox or Alex Colome of the Tampa Bay Rays.So as these meetings draw to a close and Chapman and Jansen remain unsigned, the stakes for all three teams in pursuit of them are now nearly as high as the dollars.ESPNs Doug Padilla contributed to this report.
